NISA Fund May Take Days to be Processed

Current Summary
NISA:
Many purchases takes days or week to be processed
– Stocks typically take 2-3 days
– Funds will take longer, depending on some factors.
– The settlement date (受渡日) is what matters,
rather than the transaction date (約定日)

– i.e., transaction date today, but the actual transfer of the securities will be later date

What was free on previous NISA:
– the capital gains tax
– dividends tax

– ETF or MF may take a day to process
– I believe but a stock can be purchased on the spot

Previous NISA:
– Tsumitate: cannot buy individual stocks
– Normal: individual stocks or ETF

— whatever you buy lessens your remaining buying power and so on until you’ve used up that 1.2M
— If you sell any of those NISA investments, you can’t use that money again in NISA, you’ve already used up that buying opportunity
— You can only buy once, then that opportunity is used

I was about to max out my NISA account (thinking emaxis slim all country or s&p 500) from my yen cash savings. Mainly want a stable safe investment.
